SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Teacher expenses tax credit. Establishes a tax credit, for taxable years 2019 through 2023, of up to $250 for qualifying individuals, defined in the bill as any individual who is a teacher, instructor, counselor, principal, or aide for at least 900 hours during the school year, who paid for classroom materials used in teaching students in kindergarten or an elementary or secondary school, provided that such expenses have not been reimbursed and have not been claimed as a deduction on the qualifying individual's federal tax return.
