SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Voter identification; free voter photo identification cards provided by the Department of Motor Vehicles. Requires the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) to provide voter photo identification cards containing the voter's photograph and signature for free to those voters who do not have one of the accepted forms of identification required for purposes of voting. The bill requires the DMV to provide on the official DMV website and to any person coming into a DMV office information on who may qualify for a free voter photo identification card and how to obtain such a card.
