SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Imitation controlled substances; maximum disciplinary action. Sets the maximum disciplinary action for any student found by the school board to have brought an imitation controlled substance, as that term is defined in § 18.2-247, onto school property or to a school-sponsored activity at short-term suspension not to exceed five school days. Under current law, students found to have brought an imitation controlled substance onto school property or to a school-sponsored event are required to be expelled, absent special circumstances.
