SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Constitutional office; filling a vacancy. Clarifies that the highest ranking deputy officer or, in the case of the office of attorney for the Commonwealth, the highest ranking full-time assistant attorney for the Commonwealth shall step in to fill a vacancy in a constitutional office until a special election to fill such a vacancy has been held, regardless of a county or city charter's alternative method for filling such a vacancy. The bill contains a technical amendment.
