SUMMARY AS PASSED: (all summaries)

Payment of funds into circuit court. Provides that where judgment is taken in the circuit court, upon motion of a party for good cause shown, the court may enter an order directing the clerk to hold certain funds. The bill further provides that where judgment is taken in the general district court, upon motion of a party for good cause shown, the general district court judge may enter an order directing the clerk of the general district court to hold such funds for a period not to exceed 180 days to enable such party to file a petition requesting that such funds be received and held by the clerk of the circuit court. If an order directing the clerk of the general district court to transfer funds to the clerk of the circuit court is not received within 180 days, the clerk of the general district court may disburse the funds to the plaintiff.
