SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:

Interception of communications; sheriffs. Provides that the Attorney General may apply for authorization for the observation or monitoring by a sheriff's office of an interception of communications; under existing law the same may be done for a police department of a county or city or for U.S. law-enforcement officers. This bill is identical to HB 2266.
