New Construction:  Southwestern Virginia Veterans Care Center

The Governor is authorized to request federal funds to construct a new veterans care center with up to 80 beds located in the southwestern area of Virginia.  After the United States Department of Veterans Affairs has determined that federal funds will be allocated for the new center, the Director, Department of Planning and Budget, shall approve a short-term, interest-free treasury loan in the amount of $10,500,000 to the Department of Veterans Services for the state share of the construction.
