SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:

Board of Education; high school accreditation; industry certifications.  Requires the Board of Education to adopt regulations adjusting the formula for calculating the final high school accreditation status to add points for each student obtaining a diploma and certain industry certifications, state licensure, or occupational credential. The additional points shall only improve the accreditation status of a school and cannot be used to obtain or deny accreditation. This bill is identical to HB 642.
