SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Placement of children; criminal history and central registry check. Eliminates language granting local boards of social services and licensed child-placing agencies discretion in deciding when to obtain background checks on adult household members residing in a home with a person with whom the local board or agency is considering placing a child on an emergency, temporary, or permanent basis and makes such checks mandatory.
