SUMMARY AS PASSED: (all summaries)
Commonwealth of Virginia Higher Educational Institutions Bond Act of 2006. Authorizes the Treasury Board to issue bonds in an amount not to exceed $395,428,570 pursuant to Article X, Section 9(c) of the Constitution of Virginia, for paying costs of acquiring, constructing, and equipping revenue-producing capital projects at institutions of higher education of the Commonwealth and repeals certain prior authorizations for the issuance of bonds to the extent that the maximum amount of such bonds has not been issued. The bill has an emergency clause and is in effect upon passage. This bill is identical to SB 28.
