SUMMARY:
Stephen J. Wright Scholars Program. Renames and establishes the Graduate Fellows Program and the Southern Regional Education Board Minority Doctoral Program, existing only in the appropriations act, as the Stephen J. Wright Scholars Program to foster scholarship among Virginia's graduate students and to retain such outstanding scholars in the Commonwealth.
The late Dr. Stephen J. Wright was a former chairman of the State Council of Higher Education. This bill is identical to SB 1052.
