SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Virginia Small Business Financing Authority; Veteran Entrepreneur and Capital Resources Program and Fund. Establishes the Veteran Entrepreneur and Capital Resources Program and Fund to provide loans and support to veteran small business owners, as defined in the bill, and to veterans starting a business, purchasing a franchise, or pursuing other entrepreneurial endeavors. The Fund shall be managed and administered by the Virginia Small Business Financing Authority with guidance from the Director of Small Business and Supplier Diversity and assistance with verification of veteran status and promotion of the program from the Department of Veterans Services. The bill has a delayed effective date of January 1, 2019.
