SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:

Tethered unmanned aircraft systems. Allows a law-enforcement agency or other state or local agency having jurisdiction over criminal law enforcement or regulatory violations to deploy a tethered unmanned aircraft system without obtaining a search warrant, provided that the person with legal authority over the property upon which the aircraft system is tethered consents to the deployment and the property is posted as being under surveillance by a tethered unmanned aircraft system. The bill defines "tethered unmanned aircraft system" as an unmanned aircraft system that is fixed to a general location by means of a tether.
