Commending the Reverend Leslie Francis Griffin. Commends the Reverend Leslie Francis Griffin who led the fight against racially segregated schools in Prince Edward County, which were closed for five years in defiance of the United States Supreme Court’s decision in Brown v. Board of Education.

This resolution is a recommendation of the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Commission and its Steering Committee on the 50th Anniversary of Brown v. Board of Education.
