SUMMARY AS PASSED: (all summaries)

Election laws, disenfranchisement of persons convicted of felonies and the restoration of civil rights to felons. Continues the joint subcommittee formed by the Senate and House Committees on Privileges and Elections to monitor developments in conducting elections, improved methods to inform voters about ballot issues and candidates, and implementation of proposed changes in the Virginia Voter Registration System. The joint subcommittee shall study issues pertaining to the disenfranchisement of persons convicted of felonies and the procedures to restore their civil rights, pursuant to SJR 404 (1999) and HJR 605 (1999).
