SUMMARY AS PASSED SENATE: (all summaries)

Verification of citizenship of certain students. Strikes the requirement that local school boards verify, as a condition of school admission, the citizenship of students for whom English is the second language who enter public school in Virginia for the first time after reaching their twelfth birthday.

This bill is a recommendation of the Standing Joint Subcommittee on School Dropout Prevention.
