SUMMARY AS PASSED: (all summaries)
Water transport of wastes. Provides for the prohibition, to the fullest extent consistent with limitations posed by the Constitution of the United States and as is necessary to protect health, safety and welfare and the environment, the commercial transport of certain types of wastes, by ship, barge or other vessel, on the Rappahannock, James and York Rivers. The Virginia Department of Transportation is to conduct a study on the impact any such prohibition may have on highway safety.. This bill is identical to HB 2556.
