SUMMARY AS PASSED SENATE: (all summaries)
Medical malpractice limit. Raises the amount recoverable from $1 million to $1.5 million, exclusive of interest. The $1 million limit will increase by $50,000 annually until July 1, 2009. The annual increase will apply only to causes of action arising after July 1 of that year. This bill is identical to SB 1230.
