SUMMARY AS PASSED HOUSE:
Injuring, etc., any property, monument, etc. Allows a court the discretion to order a defendant pay restitution after being convicted of unlawfully destroying, defacing, damaging or removing without the intent to steal any property, or breaking down, destroying, defacing, damaging or removing without the intent to steal, any monument.
SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Injuring, etc., any property, monument, etc. Requires a court to order a defendant pay restitution in the amount of the fair market cost of repair or fair market replacement value after being convicted of unlawfully destroying, defacing, damaging or removing without the intent to steal any property, or breaking down, destroying, defacing, damaging or removing without the intent to steal, any monument.
