SUMMARY AS PASSED:
Child abuse and neglect; reporting. Adds persons who act as court-appointed special advocates for children to the list of those who are mandated to report suspected cases of child abuse and neglect encountered in their official or professional capacity. The list currently includes doctors, nurses, social workers, teachers and a number of others who might encounter such evidence in the course of their professional work.
SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Child abuse and neglect; reporting. Adds persons who act as court-appointed special advocates for children to the list of those professionals who are mandated to report suspected cases of child abuse and neglect. The list currently includes doctors, nurses, social workers, teachers and a number of others who might encounter such evidence in the course of their professional work. There is also a technical amendment.
