SUMMARY AS PASSED:
Health professions; substance abuse practitioners. Provides that the Board may establish a time-limited period, but not less than one year, where it shall issue a license to those persons who wish to apply for licensure based on previous experience and education acceptable to the board and who have completed at least one year of supervised clinical experience in substance abuse treatment.
SUMMARY AS PASSED HOUSE:
Health professions; substance abuse practitioners. Provides that the Board may establish a time-limited period, but not less than one year, where it shall issue a license to those persons who wish to apply for licensure based on previous experience and education acceptable to the board and who has completed at least one year of supervised clinical experience in substance abuse treatment.
SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Health professions; substance abuse practitioners. Provides that the Board may establish a time-limited period for those persons who wish to apply for licensure based on previous experience and education. However, this “grandfather” exemption shall be for a period of time to be determined by the Board but not less than one year.
