SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:

Virginia Correctional Enterprises; mandatory procurement. Eliminates the mandatory requirement for state agencies to purchase those articles produced or manufactured, and services provided, by prisoners sentenced to state correctional facilities. The bill also provides that such articles and services may be sold on the open market.
