SUMMARY AS PASSED:

Solid waste fee. Provides that certain electric utilities are required to provide Wise County (described by population) with a customer list and billing addresses upon request of the board. The requirement expires on January 1, 2001.

Solid waste fee. Provides that certain power companies are required to provide Wise County (described by population) with a customer list and billing addresses upon request of the board. The provisions expire on January 1, 2001.

SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:

Local utility tax; additional landfill expansion use fee. Imposes an additional $2.50 per month on electric or gas service for residential purposes in those counties with a landfill use fee for landfill expansion. The bill has an emergency clause.
