SUMMARY AS PASSED:

School strip searches. Requires the Board of Education to develop, in consultation with the Office of the Attorney General, guidelines for strip searches in public schools. A report on the development of the guidelines must be made to the General Assembly.

SUMMARY AS PASSED HOUSE:

School searches; immunity. Provides that school personnel are prohibited from performing strip searches in elementary and secondary schools.

School searches; immunity. Provides that school personnel are not immune from civil liability for strip searches of students and prohibits strip searches in elementary and secondary schools.
