Income tax; subtraction for unemployment benefits. Provides a subtraction from federal adjusted gross income for unemployment compensation benefits when computing Virginia taxable income.
SUMMARY AS PASSED HOUSE:
Income tax; subtraction for unemployment benefits. Provides a subtraction from federal adjusted gross income for unemployment benefits when computing Virginia taxable income. The bill will be effective January 1, 2000, provided none of the car tax circuit breakers occurs. If any one of them occurs before January 1, 2000, the act will become effective on January 1 of the first year after the year in which such circuit breakers do not occur.
SUMMARY AS INTRODUCED:
Income tax; subtraction for unemployment benefits. Provides a subtraction from federal adjusted gross income, beginning January 1, 1999, for unemployment benefits when computing Virginia taxable income.
