Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 16.1-264.1 as follows:

§ 16.1-264.1. Discovery in juvenile court proceedings.

In any proceeding in the juvenile court in which a juvenile is alleged to be delinquent or in which any person is charged with a crime, Rule 7C:5 of the Rules of the Supreme Court and any other Rules which the Supreme Court may from time to time adopt to govern discovery in criminal prosecutions in the general district courts shall apply.
