999423843Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 1-15.3 as follows:
§ 1-15.3. Compliance by regulants with Year 2000 date change.
All persons whose conduct, rights, or activities are governed by regulations promulgated by agencies of the Commonwealth shall ensure that all date-sensitive information systems under their control involving public health, safety, or welfare concerns are capable of accommodating the smooth transition of all electronically or mechanically dependent systems to operate fully at the date change to Year 2000.
2. That the provisions of this act shall expire on July 1, 2001.
