996614198Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 33.1-206.1 as follows:
§ 33.1-206.1. Department to install and maintain certain highway directional signs.
When any tourist destination in Virginia that attracts 100,000 or more visitors per year so requests, the Department shall install and maintain, along four-lane divided highways, signs providing directions to such tourist destination. All costs associated with the production, installation, and maintenance of signs installed under this section shall be borne by the tourist destination that requested them.
