999734400Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 18.2-119.1 as follows:
§ 18.2-119.1. Validity of signs forbidding trespass; penalty.
In order for any sign forbidding trespass upon the lands, buildings or premises of another to be valid notice to others, such sign shall be signed or stamped with the signature of a person authorized by § 18.2-119 to post such signs.
If any person knowingly and intentionally posts signs on the land of another without the permission of a person authorized to post such signs on that land, he shall be guilty of a Class 1 misdemeanor.
