Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That § 20-78.1 of the Code of Virginia is amended and reenacted as follows:
§ 20-78.1. Effect of entry of support order in certain garnishment proceedings.
A. A judgment for arrearage, or an order or decree of support for a spouse or

whichever first occurs.
C. The provisions of this section shall apply to arrearages accumulated prior to and after July 1, 1976.
