§ 20-78.1. Effect of entry of support order in certain garnishment proceedings.

A. A judgment for arrearage, or an order or decree of support for a spouse or support and maintenance of a child or children entered under the provisions of this chapter or §§ 16.1-278.15 through 16.1-278.18, 20-103 and 20-107.1 through 20-109 may be enforced in any garnishment proceeding in which the liability is against the United States of America only after arrearage has been reduced to judgment.

C. The provisions of this section shall apply to arrearages accumulated prior to and after July 1, 1976.
