The Board of Education shall provide for an alternative licensure for qualified persons who hold college degrees, such as college professors, retired military personnel, persons in the business community, professionals starting second careers, former government officials, senior citizens, and persons with expertise in subjects designated as teacher shortage areas such as math, science, foreign language, computer science and technology, and special education.
