SUMMARY:

Commission on Family Violence Prevention. Continues the Commission and adds the Commissioner of Health and the Director of the Department of Criminal Justice Services as permanent members. The Commission is requested to study the impact of family violence on children; marital sexual assault in Virginia; prevention and treatment programs, including local programs; the development of family violence fatality review teams; drafting methods to encourage cooperation in the prosecution of cases; and juvenile offenders who commit acts of family violence.
