SUMMARY:
Cultural diversity training for law-enforcement officers. Requires the Department of Criminal Justice Services to establish a minimum in-service training standard, training objective, and model lesson plan for law-enforcement officers which enable the officer to demonstrate awareness of and sensitivity to cultural diversity; and establish the time required for completion of such training. This is a recommendation of the Joint Subcommittee Studying the Status and Needs of African-American Males in Virginia.
