SUMMARY:

Sentencing guidelines; worksheets. Clarifies that sentencing guideline worksheets are a part of the public record of a criminal case. Because the statute refers to the fact that the worksheets are, in some respects (i.e., distribution), to be treated in the same manner as presentence reports, confusion has arisen in some circuits over the need to seal the worksheet portion of the case record (as is done with presentence reports).

This bill is recommended by the Sentencing Commission.
