SUMMARY:
Transitional Living Center. Memorializes the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to restore requested funding for the Transitional Living Center, operated by Total Action Against Poverty. The center is the only facility in Southwest Virginia providing a complete range of services to homeless families with children, and it is widely recognized as an exemplary model of transitional living programs. Without the requested core funding from HUD, the Transitional Living Center will be forced to close in November 1998.
