SUMMARY:

Study; Economic self-sufficiency for welfare recipients and the working poor. This resolution would have established a joint subcommittee to examine strategies for promoting the long-term economic self-sufficiency of welfare recipients and the working poor. However, the resolution was passed by indefinitely in lieu of a letter from the Speaker to the House Health, Welfare and Institutions Committee to conduct the study.
