SUMMARY:
Vehicle registration; fees. Increases to four dollars (from present two dollars) the surcharge on vehicle registrations used for emergency medical services purposes (the so-called "two for life" fee). One-half of the additional revenues go to the Rescue Squad Assistance Fund, the remainder to localities for use in conjunction with emergency medical services and rescue purposes. The act becomes effective on January 1, 1999. This bill is a duplicate of Senate Bill No. 177.
