Introduced by: Raymond R. Guest, Jr. | all patrons    ...    notes | add to my profiles

SUMMARY:

Uniform Statewide Building Code; definitions. Clarifies the definition of a farm building by adding a specific definition of "farm building or structure." The bill clarifies that "farm buildings or structures" shall be exempt from the provisions of the Building Code. The bill requires, however, that farm buildings and structures lying within a flood plain or in a mudslide-prone area shall be subject to flood-proofing regulations or mudslide regulations. The Board of Housing and Community Development is also required to study the use of farm buildings and structures in marketing and sales of agricultural goods and services. The provisions expire on July 1, 2000.
