SUMMARY:

Persons charged with first drug offense. Provides that as a term or condition of deferred disposition under the first offender statute, the court may require the accused to be evaluated and enter a treatment and/or education program certified or licensed by an ASAP program certified by the Commission on VASAP. Currently only a DMHMRSAS certified program is authorized.
