HB 66 Tax credit for vehicles emissions testing equipment.

SUMMARY:

Tax credit for vehicles emissions testing equipment. Makes certified motor vehicle emissions testing equipment located in a locality adjacent to a locality with an enhanced vehicle emissions testing program eligible for a tax credit equal to 20 percent of the purchase or lease price of the equipment. This credit is available for taxable years beginning on and after January 1, 1998. The tax credit currently is available only for equipment located within a county, city or town which is required to implement an enhanced testing program.
