SUMMARY:

Courts not of record; exclusive jurisdiction of district court. Increases from $1,000 to $3,000 the amount in controversy for exclusive civil jurisdiction of general district courts. Tort Claims Act cases are excluded. The bill also specifies that the court may order a filing of a written bill of particulars upon the request of either party. This bill is identical to SB 540.
