SUMMARY:
Department of Motor Vehicles; enforcement. Expands the Department's enforcement powers by authorizing the Commissioner, his assistants, full-time members of the Department's enforcement division, and police officers appointed by the Commissioner to enforce all criminal laws of the Commonwealth. Department law-enforcement officers are also authorized to take statements during the enforcement of such laws. In addition to the Board and its representatives, agents of the Department are authorized to inspect motor vehicle dealer records. Any person who prohibits the Motor Vehicle Dealer Board, its representatives, or Department agents from examining Motor Vehicle Dealer records shall be guilty of a Class 1 misdemeanor. Misdemeanor only.
