HB 275 Computer trespass.

SUMMARY:

Computer trespass. Adds halting or otherwise disabling any computer data, computer programs, or computer software from a computer or computer network to the crime of computer trespass, and reduces the penalty from a Class 1 to a Class 3 misdemeanor. If such act is done recklessly and causes $2500 or more in damages, it is punishable as a Class 1 misdemeanor; if done maliciously and the damages are $2,500 or more, it is punishable as a Class 6 felony. The bill also preserves the ability to include terms or conditions in a contract or license relating to computers, data, networks, operations, programs, services, or software.
