Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding sections numbered 58.1-3650.749 and 58.1-3650.750 as follows:

§ 58.1-3650.749. Property of The Avenel Foundation.

A. The Avenel Foundation, a nonprofit organization, is hereby designated as a historical organization within the context of Section 6(a)(6) of Article X of the Constitution of Virginia.

B. Property located in Bedford County, owned by the Avenel Foundation and used by it exclusively for historical purposes on a nonprofit basis as set forth in subsection A of this section, is hereby determined to be exempt from local taxation.

§ 58.1-3650.750. Property of The National D-Day Memorial Foundation.

A. The National D-Day Memorial Foundation, a nonprofit organization, is hereby designated as a historical and cultural organization and public park within the context of Section 6(a)(6) of Article X of the Constitution of Virginia.

B. Property located in Bedford County, owned by the National D-Day Memorial Foundation and used by it exclusively for historical, cultural and public park purposes on a nonprofit basis as set forth in subsection A of this section, is hereby determined to be exempt from local taxation.
