Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. § 1. It shall be the policy of the Commonwealth that no state-funded building, road, bridge or other structure shall be named after a sitting member of the General Assembly.

§ 2. A state-funded building, road, bridge or other structure may be named after a member of the General Assembly five years after the member has left office or upon his death.
