Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 29.1-749.1 as follows:

§ 29.1-749.1. Launching of personal watercraft rentals in certain waters prohibited.

It shall be unlawful for any owner or employee of a business that offers personal watercraft for rent to knowingly permit any person to launch a rented personal watercraft from lands abutting Ships Bay, North Bay, Back Bay, and Seashore/First Landing State Park in Virginia Beach. A violation of this section shall be a Class 4 misdemeanor.
