Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. § 1. Any member of the Judicial Retirement System (§ 51.1-300 et seq.) who served as a state employee prior to 1990 may purchase prior service credit for a period for which accumulated contributions and interest were withdrawn in accordance with § 51.1-161 by repaying the amount of the withdrawn contributions and interest to the Virginia Retirement System.
