Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That § 54.1-3925 of the Code of Virginia is amended and reenacted as follows:

§ 54.1-3925. Application for examination.

A person desiring to take an examination under this article shall file with the Board his application therefor in such form as the Board may require not later than the fifteenth day of the second month preceding the month in which the examination will be given. An application shall be deemed to be timely filed if it is mailed postage prepaid to the Board by registered or certified mail and if the official receipt therefor, which shall be exhibited on demand, shows mailing within the prescribed time limits.
