Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 46.2-863.1 as follows:

§ 46.2-863.1. Failure to obey traffic light signals.

A person shall be guilty of reckless driving who fails to obey traffic light signals and, as the result of such failure, an accident or collision occurs resulting in property damage or bodily injury to one or more persons.
