984533316Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:
1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding in Chapter 1 of Title 46.2 a section numbered 46.2-116 as follows:
§ 46.2-116. Confiscation of certain vehicles prohibited.
Nothing in this title shall be construed to authorize any officer, employee, or agent of the Commonwealth or any officer, employee, or agent of any agency, instrumentality, or political subdivision of the Commonwealth either (i) to confiscate any unregistered motor vehicle or (ii) to go upon any private property for the purpose of any such confiscation.
